Spring and Summer the Time for Growth
AT Enigin we are concerned with growth, always growing as a company always expanding our knowledge and solutions to help organisations to manage and save energy but at home things are not that different at this time of year!
At home my concern is not business growth or energy saving advancement but the growth in the garden. Do not misunderstand me – I am no gardener. I love a beautiful garden, to sit in it and enjoy the labours to produce it, the labour of others adds to the delight for me.
Fortunately my wife a reasonably keen gardener but with a broad smile always points me towards the lawn mower!
Fine, we haven’t got a huge lawn – but it just seems to grow and grow! I have suggested we get a sheep but the missus is not to be swayed. As far as she is concerned I do little else, workwise, in the garden so mowing is my share. It gives me a reason to welcome winter, when suddenly the grass hardly grows at all.
The lawn is in our back garden, at the front we have a paved drive, great no mowing but despite all the chemicals, weapons and other aggressive measures the weeds spring up from no where in the tightest of cracks between the paving blocks.
I drove into the drive three days ago and noticed a small dandelion in front of my car, a day later I drove into the same spot and noticed a veritable tree of a dandelion! How can it grow so quickly?
I need a robotic lawn mower and weed puller, my life would be complete, in the past we have hired someone to just come every two weeks to tend to the garden but they now see few and far between – leaving me to deal with all this growth….aghhhh!
